Columbia Helicopters, Inc. located 22 mi. south of Portland, OR, has an opening for a Technical Instructor.

Job Duties

• Assists Training Program Administrator in development of training courses
• Deliver initial and recurrent training for personnel local and abroad 
• Teach technical subjects through lecture, video, electronic media and hands on training
• Assist the Training Program Administrator in establishing training programs to aid personnel in preparation and qualification for the necessary licensing. 
• Represent CHI for Training during audit by regulatory entities and customers.
• Maintaining procedures established regarding training

Experience/Requirements

• Knowledge or familiarity of Federal Aviation Regulations (primarily Parts 21, 43, 91, 145, 133, and 135)
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in maintaining aircraft/rotorcraft
• Ability to interact effectively with personnel throughout the company
• Ability to conduct regulatory research from manuals and computer based resources
• Ability to create a course curriculum, syllabus, training aids, and any other required tools.
• Effective time management
• Vocational teaching experience
• Experience with developing training relating to rotorcraft and regulatory requirements
• High usage of computer and projector
• Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint
• Programs related to development of computer based training
