Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new designs in support of aircraft modifications and alteration activities.
  • Support Maintenance activities by amending data to address changes created by improved maintenance practices, part numbers changes, or service experience.
  • Develop release and maintain engineering models and drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Coordinate design issues with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Research material and part specifications, regulatory documentation and documentations.
  • Perform and validate structural analysis using NASTRAN.
  • Act as Engineering focal and project leader on multiple projects.
  • Provide technical leadership for assigned projects for process / products attaining quality excellence with cost superiority.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 5 years Aviation Industry experience is preferred with a BS or Master’s degree with 1 - 3 years experience
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Structures, Mechanical Systems, Propulsion Systems, and/or Rotorocraft Flying Qualities is desired
  • Basic understanding of FAA Certification process is desired, specifically 14 CFR Part 21, 29, and 43
  • 2 years of experience using SolidWorks design software and familiarity with PDM software system is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, Adobe ProKnowledge, experience of structural evaluation (analysis or test) desirable
  • Understanding and experience of working within an AS9100 accredited Quality System
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, technical and non-technical, internal and external
  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
  • Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person
